2025 NFL Week 7 Highlights

By Jeff Stinger

Can you think of a crazier moment in the NFL than what just happened? NFL Week 7 2025 will go down as one of the wildest, most intense, and insane weeks in history. Most of the craziness happened in a single game, Broncos versus Giants, but there are other highlights to get to. Keep reading for a rundown of the past week’s NFL highlights.

2025 NFL Week 7 Top Highlights

Mahomes and KC continue to roll

Rashee Rice returned to the starting lineup, and Patrick Mahomes wasted no time. Facing the rival Vegas Raiders, Kansas City’s top rival in the AFC West, Mahomes and his mates dominated.

Patrick threw two touchdowns to Rice and another to Hollywood Brown. What really impressed was how the Chiefs’ D shut down Ashton Jeanty and the Raiders’ offense. KC is playing like the best team in the NFL.

Eagles bounce back with a major win against the Vikings

Two straight losses? No problem. Philadelphia played a decent team on the road against the Minnesota Vikings, hoping to get back on the winning track.

Although the Vikings mounted a comeback in the second half, the result was never really in doubt because Jalen Hurts stepped it up and showed why he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Hurts connected with Devonta Smith for nine catches for 183 yards and a couple of TDs. Overall, Hurts threw for 326 yards and 3 TDs. The Eagles are back.

The Lions hand Baker and the Bucs their second straight loss

There was a question as to whether or not the Lions’ defense, which has multiple injuries in the secondary, could handle Baker Mayfield and a returning Mike Evans. But on Monday night, Detroit had no issues.

The Lions held the Buccaneers to 6 points while leaning on Jahmyr Gibbs to dominate Tampa Bay on the ground. Gibbs rushed for 136 yards and scored 2 TDs. Jared Goff had just 241 passing yards and tossed a single TD to Amon-Ra St. Brown. If you’re a Lions fan, you loved it because it showed that Detroit could switch it up. They don’t always have to rely on a strike-quick game plan. Detroit, like Philadelphia, has climbed back to the top of the NFC mountain.

Indianapolis is officially the best team in the AFC

Everyone thought Shane Steichen was out of his mind when he made Daniel Jones the starter for the Indianapolis Colts. After 7 weeks, everyone who believed that is eating crow. Jones and the Colts are an incredible 6-1.

The latest win was a thing of beauty as Indy waltzed into SoFi Stadium and beat up the LA Chargers on their field. The Bolts were -2.5 home favorites. The fact that Jones and Jonathan Taylor destroyed the Chargers was impressive. No team in the AFC is as good as Indianapolis because no team is as complete… yet. Why yet? KC is on the rise. Keep that in mind before dumping on Indy to win it all.

Denver scores 33 in one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history

The Denver Broncos had every right to call it a day. Heading into the fourth quarter, the score was Denver 0 and the New York Giants 19.

The two teams managed to score a combined 46 points in the fourth quarter. The Broncos scored 33 to beat the Giants 33-32. It was something out of a sports novel. The game made no sense, but it was certainly entertaining to watch.

What does it say about either team? Not much. Denver won’t give up, but the Broncos were -6.5 favorites. Being down 19-0 to a team led by two rookies on your own field isn’t exactly a good sign. Not when you play in the same division as the Chiefs.

For the Giants, sure, they imploded, but Jaxon Dart and Cam Skattebo played well. Something is brewing at NYG, and if the Giants don’t let the loss get to them mentally, they’ll be okay and tough out the rest of the way.
